Yahoo!
I learn today that Microsoft has abandoned its takeover bid for Yahoo!
This is fantastic, and a real win for open competition in the internet space. I urge yahoo investors to hold strong. The company has fabulous products, and it is taking time for it to determine how best to position them.
Funnily enough, in my role at my company, I 'see' opportunities for us to use Yahoo services, but to be fair - I have no idea how to get that dialogue going. There are many applications available, and I am more than willing to chat with a yahoo representative about these ideas. A large multi-national firm that is trying to go 'green' and 'scale up' can use yahoo services.
So, well done yahoo - keep going...look forward to your realisation that MACs are a platform for you to exploit!
