Having recently read 1984, I am very glad that I am a 'friend of liberty'.

I decided to become 'a friend' when I realised that knee-jerk policies are demeaning for our rights. And regular readers know, I DESPISE knee-jerk policies by governments.

100s of years of history have to teach us something, and that is to THINK!

You know, I've always wanted to finish reading 1984, but I haven't been able to because I have a phobic fear of rats and I've been warned to stay away from this book.

It bothers me, though, to have started this classic without ever having finished it.
